An order is a route
From a post to a confirmed delivery in five steps.
Post a task
Describe what you need and set the amount.
Pick a Tasker
Taskers respond. Choose one and both accept a short agreement.
Pay safely
Stripe holds the payment until the order is completed.
Get proof
The Tasker uploads receipts, photos or tracking.
Confirm
You confirm and the payment is released. If something goes wrong, open a dispute.
Built for trust
Payment on hold
Money is held by Stripe and goes to the Tasker only after you confirm the result.
Proof at every step
Receipts, photos and tracking are attached to the order, so you always see what was done.
Disputes and support
Either side can open a dispute. Our team reviews it, and support is a message away in the app.
One person on the spot can solve a lot
What FolkNet is
A marketplace
FolkNet is an online marketplace. A Client posts a task (buy an item, inspect a place, run a local errand), a Tasker responds, and the two agree between themselves. FolkNet is not a party to the deal and does not perform tasks itself.
Prices and fees
Client service fee: 10% of the task amount. Tasker fee: 20% of the task price below 500 USD (or the equivalent in another currency) and 15% at or above it. A fixed small order fee (5 USD or the equivalent in another currency) is added for orders below 150 USD. Amounts are shown in the order currency before you pay. Where the law requires, VAT or sales tax is added to our fee and shown on the payment summary. See Refunds, cancellations and disputes.
Payments and security
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Card payments are made over a secure connection and handled by Stripe.
What is not allowed
You may not post or perform tasks that break the law or others' rights, or tasks to buy alcohol, tobacco products or vapes. No fraud, abuse, taking payment outside the Service, forged receipts or photos, spam or malicious material.
You also may not buy or arrange through the Service cryptocurrency, NFTs, gift cards, prepaid or stored-value cards, money transfers or similar items that are commonly used in fraud.
You may not impersonate another person, pass off someone else's work or identity as your own, or let someone else use your account. You may not scrape the Service, use bots, bypass its security, reverse engineer it or introduce malware.
You may not use the Service for work or activity that is not lawful where it is performed, including undeclared work.
If you deal or pay outside the Service, none of our protections (holding of payment, disputes, refunds) apply to that deal, and we may restrict the account.
You may not buy, sell, hand over or arrange through the Service: alcohol; tobacco, nicotine products, vapes and e-liquids; drugs and other controlled substances; weapons, ammunition and explosives; gift cards, prepaid or stored-value cards, cryptocurrency, NFTs and money transfers; counterfeit, stolen or forged goods; or any goods or services that are illegal where they are bought or delivered.
We automatically screen order texts, responses, chat messages, reviews, profiles and notes, and the items on receipts. A message or text that mentions a prohibited item may be blocked and the case sent to our administrators for review. If the rules are broken, we may cancel the order, hold the related payout, refund the Client, and restrict or block the account. Screening can make mistakes: if you think a text was blocked wrongly, contact support.
You can report an order from its card. We may hide content and restrict or block accounts for violations.
Reviews and ratings must be honest and based on a real order: no abuse, threats or other people's personal data. Profiles, reviews and order cards can be seen by other users. We may remove reviews and content that break these rules.
